The same platform can feel personal without making everything public. Your settings decide how Orbit looks, what others can learn and which access paths remain connected.
1. Shape your profile
Build a recognisable identity
Choose a display name, image, bio and links that help the right people understand who they are meeting. A clear profile can connect conversations across discovery, Coin Pods and project communities.
Decide what role the profile should play
Use the preview to judge the complete story instead of filling every field. Example: a creator may foreground the token they run, while a community member may use a short bio and avatar as a social introduction.
2. Choose what others can see
Choose visibility one signal at a time
Review the privacy controls for identity, discoverability, trading information and immersive activity. Decide whether holdings, performance or activity belong in your public story rather than treating the account as entirely public or private.
Check the view another person receives
Use the available preview or public profile to verify the result. Example: you might show the communities you join while keeping wallet performance out of the profile.
3. Review security and linked access
Review every way back into the account
Check linked wallets, passkeys, social sign-ins and other access shown in Security. Choose to keep only the methods you recognise and can recover safely.
End access that no longer belongs
Review active sessions and sign out devices you do not recognise. Example: after using a shared computer, end that session from a trusted device instead of assuming closing the tab removed access.
4. Set language and currency
Put the interface in your language
Choose the supported language that makes instructions and risk information easiest to understand. The interface can follow your preference without changing the language another user sees.
Make amounts easier to read
Choose the currency and regional formatting that suit you. Example: changing where a currency symbol appears changes presentation, not the on-chain asset, amount or network.
5. Tune accessibility and notifications
Tune the sensory experience
Choose motion, contrast, text and other available accessibility settings before a busy Pod or market screen. Example: reduced motion can make movement easier to follow without changing what other people experience.
Keep only useful interruptions
Decide which enabled notification controls deserve your attention. Trust the currently supported control: a visible product concept does not imply an alert exists until the setting can actually be enabled.
Privacy is part of participation
You can build a useful public identity without exposing every holding, result or activity. Review the preview whenever a visibility choice changes.
