Fund and withdraw safely
Understand what can enter or leave each wallet on Day 0 before sending value to an address.

- Fund Your wallet with ETH on Base Chain and test a new route with a small amount.
- Send, withdraw, card on-ramp, card off-ramp and Orbit-managed key export are available on Day 0.
- Exporting the key transfers direct control and recovery responsibility to you.
A transfer only knows the network, asset and address you give it. Checking those three facts before sending matters more than moving quickly.
Know what the deposit screen accepts
The account Deposit view shows the address for Your wallet, a Base Chain-only notice, a QR code and a copy control. That is the trading-wallet address—not the Platform Wallet shown in Security settings.
It can receive ETH and USDC on Base Chain. Orbit does not currently swap deposited USDC into ETH, so use ETH when the intended future action needs ETH.
Choose an outside route you trust
Base Chain ETH can arrive from an exchange that supports Base Chain withdrawals, a bridge from another network or another Base Chain wallet. Each outside service has its own fees and risk. Verify the destination network and use the copied address; for a new route, send a small test amount first.
Choose how funds should move
Use Send/Withdraw to move funds to another address. Use the card on-ramp or off-ramp when the available provider and payment method fit your needs. Read the provider’s limits and fees before continuing.
If you connected your own wallet, you still control it through that wallet application. If Orbit created the wallet, you can export its key and take direct control. Orbit deletes its copy after export, so prepare your own secure backup first.
Check before you send
Check Base Chain, the asset and the full destination address before sending. A wrong network or address does not make funds bounce back, and Orbit cannot reverse the transfer.
Common questions
What if Basescan shows the deposit before Orbit does?
The chain has recorded it and the product may still be refreshing. Compare the transaction address and network, then wait rather than sending the transfer again.
Can Orbit convert deposited USDC into ETH for me?
Not currently. Keep the asset distinction clear; receiving USDC does not make it available as ETH for a trade or network cost.
How do I confirm I copied the right wallet?
Follow Fund, withdraw and control your wallet and verify the address labelled Your wallet. Never use the reserved Platform Wallet for deposits.
