Help your coin stand out
Build a public identity that helps people understand and remember the project before they reach its chart.
TL;DR
- Lead with a specific description, recognisable artwork and links you control.
- The name, ticker and address are permanent; the description, category, artwork and links can change.
- A verified link proves control of that destination, not every claim published there.
People should be able to explain the project before they interpret its market. Clear identity gives them that starting point; polish without substance does not. The same identity needs to survive every scale—from a discovery card to the public page and the Coin Pod people walk into.
Make the first screen answer one question
The description should say what the coin is attached to and why somebody might return after discovering it. Use the first line for that purpose, not for promises about returns, distributions or graduation.
Build for the real surfaces
| Item | Product boundary |
|---|---|
| Description | Required, up to 500 characters |
| Category | Required, selected from Orbit’s fixed categories |
| Logo | Required PNG or JPG up to 1 MB; square recommended |
| Banner | Required PNG or JPG up to 2 MB; 16:9 recommended |
| Website, X, Telegram, Discord, ENS | Optional and public only after verification |
Preview the card at its actual display size. A detailed banner that works full-screen may become noise in discovery; a generic logo may disappear among other projects.
Carry the same recognisable cues into the Coin Pod. A person moving from discovery into the project space should feel that they arrived at the same token, not a disconnected venue.
Know what can change
The permanent anchors are the name, ticker and coin address. The description, category, artwork and links remain editable after launch, which is useful when the project genuinely changes.
That flexibility also creates responsibility. People may have acted on an earlier presentation, so make material changes deliberately and explain them through the project community.
Treat helpers as drafts
Orbit can rewrite a description in several tones and lengths or generate artwork from a prompt. These quota-limited helpers may be unavailable, and uploading your own work remains an option. Review generated words for claims you did not make and compare generated artwork with the full identity before saving.
Good to know
If the editor cannot load existing saved details, stop and reload. Empty-looking fields may contain live data, and saving that state could replace good information with blanks.
Common questions
What does link verification actually tell visitors?
It shows that the project controls the linked account, channel, domain or eligible ENS relationship. It does not validate every statement there. Understand what you are looking at shows how to keep creator material separate from market facts.
Should I change the branding after trading begins?
Only when the project needs the change and you can explain it clearly. Keep the permanent coin address visible so people can distinguish a genuine update from an impersonating project.
Where are the current metadata steps?
