Go live with confidence
Decide whether the finished project is ready for permanent deployment and, later, a separate market activation.
TL;DR
- Deployment is irreversible: it creates the coin contracts on Base Chain with the permanent identity and target.
- Orbit signs and pays for deployment; it does not give the creator a free token allocation.
- Deployment does not open the market, and trading activation is currently paused.
Trading is currently paused
Buying and selling are currently paused across Orbit Moon. The first four days give creators time to prepare their project, invite people and build the community. When trading returns platform-wide on Day 4, activate immediately or wait for a chosen time.
Deployment is the line between a launch draft you can still abandon and a coin that permanently exists on-chain. Confidence comes from understanding that boundary, not from making the decision feel urgent.
Separate the two go-live decisions
Deployment makes the coin permanent
Deployment creates the contracts on Base Chain, mints the one-billion-token supply into the launch system, records the earnings configuration and gives the creator the ownership NFT used by creator-only controls. Orbit submits and pays for the deployment transaction.
It does not put tokens in the creator’s wallet as a free allocation. The name, ticker, graduation target and address cannot be changed afterwards.
Activation opens the launch curve
The deployed coin begins in its pre-market state. A separate control activates buying and selling on the curve. That control is currently paused across Orbit, so a deployed coin cannot be opened for trading today.
Review the consequence, not only the checklist
The metadata, earnings, venue and avatar should agree with one another. More importantly, the project should be able to explain its permanent choices, exact address and current lifecycle state to the people already around it.
After deployment, inspect the public page before sharing it. A clean preview is not a substitute for checking the confirmed address and on-chain state.
Good to know
Do not announce a trading time the product cannot honour. When trading returns, activation remains a separate creator decision and should follow another public-state check.
Common questions
Can Orbit undo a deployment if I find a mistake?
No. Deployment is the first irreversible launch action. If the draft is not ready to become permanent, keep editing or abandon it before deployment.
Why does the creator receive an ownership NFT?
It represents the coin-owner authority used by creator-only controls; it is separate from the launch token supply. Understand who controls what explains that boundary.
Where is the deployment and activation sequence?
Use Create your first coin. Its final stages keep the current pause prominent and treat deployment, verification and future activation as separate checkpoints.
